Cropping Photos?

Wonder if someone can help please. I'm on Windows 10 and when I used to load photos on to the computer I was able to crop them top and bottom and side and side separately. Now when I do it it crops the whole rectangle at the same time.


Is there any other free way I can crop photos separately so I don't crop what I want to keep or keep a lot that I don't want.

Assuming you are using the built in W10 Photos app?

If so it depends on which option is selected under "aspect ratio" in the tools on the left hand side which appear after you click on the Crop and rotate icon.

You need "custom" rather than one of the fixed ratios.

If you are bulk cropping the same amount, from the same sides then irfanview is great.

To play with photos PAINTdotNet is very good - Image > canvas size, select the anchor point and how many pixels you want your finished item to be

Sorry, I should have said right hand side, not left!! But otherwise I think it will solve your problem!

Thank you so much Undervalued that worked a treat don't know how I cam off custom though.


Thank you that, it's usually just 1 off ones that I want to crop.
