Your post made me check the price of a freezer I bought from them 2 weeks ago. Reduced by £60! Filled in the claim form to see if they'll price match with themselves.:)

Update- fast response from JL saying "cannot price match as competitor is out of stock".

Equally fast response from me attaching 6 screenshots, first of local JL store showing "not on display", not "out of stock", & 5 screenshots of me going through each part of a current purchase process, only stopping short of entering payment details.

I expected them to maybe refuse to price match with themselves, but not to claim "out of stock", when within 10 minutes I could see it isn't!

Update: Today I'm notified that my claim has been accepted & £60 will be arriving in my account. Good job I didn't settle for the white lie they told me in their refusal!
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

I have always found both John Lewis and Waitrose have very good Customer service.

I had some “spend £50 get £10 off” Waitrose vouchers recently which we hadn’t used before they expired. I emailed them with the details and photo of the vouchers and asked if it would be possible to replace them. They responded early the following day saying regretfully they couldn’t replace them but would be happy to send me a gift card.

2 days later a £20 gift voucher arrived. Excellent result :D

We’ve got most of our Christmas stuff already so wouldn’t have spent £50 at once

£20 worth of more unusual cheeses is going to be lovely ;)

I've always been very impressed with John Lewis Customer Service. Have received very positive service over the years with a couple of items purchased. Earlier this year my iPad developed a problem & was able to use it but with an irritating work around. Still had a month to run under 2 year warrantee. Got in touch with their customer service who were incredibly helpful. End result was a brand new iPad because my problem couldn't be repaired. Very happy & impressed customer.
