Bought item from USA which never arrived

Bought and paid via Paypal for a jacket from the USA. Despite many emails from me, it's never turned up. It's also being linked via Marketplace on Facebook. Again, tried to contact the woman who was shown, but nothing. Can anyone advise what rights I have buying from abroad. Thanks.

Have you raised a dispute with Paypal? That should be your first port of call.

As to consumer rights, those that apply are those of the retailer's territory, so it looks like you need to understand what consumer rights operate in the US territory you bought from.

Thanks. I didn't realise you could raise a dispute with Paypal so I've done that now. Fingers crossed.

As above the paypal claim should sort it out unless seller can prove delivery. There is a chance it is stuck in customs waiting for a bill to be raised for all the import duties- but the seller should be able to provide tracking showing that is that is the case.

Yes, I did think it may take a couple of weeks to arrive (paid on 7th November) but I'm concerned that they haven't replied to any emails and it states that it's not even been despatched yet. Best case scenario is that it could arrive and they just give poor service.
