We got a couple of Christmas presents for friends. The children will tell me what they want and what Dgs would like and I expect DH will have something for his model railway. I send a cash present to the gt nephew. My sistet who lives in Mexico and I only exchange cards. We have a very snall family. Future dil likes a cash gift too and that's it. Not much wrapping to do.

Hi everyone
Its been a very miserable wet weekend here. I had little grand daughter to stay last night - she would cheer anyone up! She woke at 4am coughing and then was sick so we were up for a little while - she's not properly sick as she doesn't eat, it's just like water. We did both go back to sleep eventually then had lovely cuddles in bed. I'm getting fed up with it being so dark - we could do with some sunshine! I haven't started wrapping presents or writing cards, but I have sorted out what I've actually bought. I'm going to Newcastle to see Stacey Dooley in a couple of weeks time so I can get the last couple of bits I need then. According to a sign in Asda it's only 30 days till Christmas!0 -
Evening all.
Stair climbing - up and down - went well. Actually found it really easy as it's how I was doing it before, except I had to remember which leg to go first. I've been walking too. Sitting down is difficult still because of bruises but it won't be long.
Thanks for all the good wishes. I sprinkle loads back to everyone.0 -
Good evening all, and well done Gers I applaud you attempts to get those legs working and bending again.
I am still at DDs but have been going back to my house almost daily for a walk-in shower and to make sure the heating is keeping the house aired OK
I am hoping to go home this Thursday for the night to see how I get on on my own.DD is off on Thursday so she will bring some of my bits and pieces home for me .
Still not driving yet but today when I went home (I had my DGS Henry with me as his Uni is on strike, and he decided to stay on until tomorrow as he had an open rail ticket )
Plus tomorrow is his Dads, my super son-in-laws birthday. So it's nice for him to see his Dad actually on his birthday
DGS Jack couldn't get back from his Uni in Hertfordshire but he came home the previous weekend and DGS Ben is working at his school in Edgware so can't get home.
I am treating my DD,son-in-law and DGS Mikey and myself to a meal out tomorrow night ,not just for his birthday, but as a thank you for all his help over the past few weeks.
Today I managed with only a wrist support sling instead of the full sling which makes it a bit easier as I need one hand for my walking stick and the other one is in the slingI look a bit decrepit at the moment
but actually felt a bit more movement in my shoulder which I am hoping will carry on. I certainly feel a bit more positive at least, just will feel better once I can drive again I think, fingers crossed it won't be too long. I don't think I have read so much in my life .No knitting yet though:)
I saw my eldest DGD katie on Sunday at her baby shower and she looks fantastic she only has five more weeks to go and is really blooming ,she actually looks better than when she had my DGGD Erin 21 months ago.
Its going to be an exciting Christmas for her at least
Right time I was off ,hope everyone is warm and dry ,it's been a very wet day here in Kent, but at least not that cold
Take care chums
