Hi, newbie here after some advice if possible please.
We’re currently looking at a new build and have been doing our due diligence on the fleecehold issue. We’ve been advised the managing agent for this estate are Allerton Property Management, but other than their own website, I can’t find any other information or reviews. Which could be a good thing as they don’t appear to have been named and shamed as yet.
I’ve asked for a copy of the contract issued as I want make sure we don’t get tied into signing a contract with either the doubling/tripling costs, and the eviction of freehold property if the bills don’t get paid (which we’ve no intention of, of course). We’ve not yet offered on the property because of this, and this will potentially be a deal breaker for us.
I was wondering whether anyone had any first hand knowledge of this firm at all?
Many thanks for any help you may have!

Would be extremely wary! If you search them on Companies House one of the two directors is the director of 13,666 companies. Make of that what you will!

Amazing information if you Google her name- Barbara Kahan. She is in her 80s. Apparently she is being used to set up numerous shell companies (mainly linked to property management) at an address in Finchley.

Wow that’s quite scary reading! Having looked at their accounts they seem to be a fairly small company, with only the one director now who wasn’t appointed at the time the company was set up, but it does make you wonder about the history of it. I shall be very wary, and won’t be signing up to anything, unless my (independent) solicitor agrees that it’s ok to go ahead. And it won’t even get that far if it has either of the dubious clauses I mentioned earlier in them.
I’ll flag these points to her up front as well.
Thanks for the insight!0
