Best place to sell cds/dvds/books

sorry this isnt really related to this forum
Hi,
I am really trying to de-clutter at the moment and trying to sell all un-used cds/dvds/books. However, I cannot find a place that takes them all. I have tried places likes Ziffit, Zapper, musicmagpie however none of these seem to take any of my books.
I was considering ebay but i have such a huge amount it doesnt seem worth it selling each individual item.
Thanks!

  • You can sell bundles/lots on eBay in the same way you'd sell individual items.

You could also try Facebook marketplace. There may also be Facebook groups for certain subjects or interests where members might more readily take some of them off your hands - maybe.

If you're less worried about the money and just want rid, you could give them to charity shops. (Or, sell the DVDs/CDs to musicmagpie or similar and just give the books to charity shops.)

It's difficult because the market for all of them is so saturated with such low prices!

Frankly if places like musicmagpie don't want them then I'd just charity shop them.

If you just want to get rid of them then ask your local library if they would like them.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

If Musicmagpie doesn't want them, then your local library won't either. In the unlikely event that even one of them was useful, they'd need to be jacketed, barcoded and catalogued, and that work is done by book suppliers these days. Libraries simply don't have the staff.

Just send them to the charity shop.
  • Any books that aren't wanted by these apps, I donate them to my local Tesco where they have a shelf for unwanted books...other people can take them in exchange for a donation to charity.
