TSB compensation. I no longer have an account with them. Will I still get the money?

Last year during the TSB tech meltdown, I couldn't access my savings or disability benefits for almost 3 weeks and after it was resolved, I got £150 in compensation from my local branch manager. I closed my accounts with TSB after that and went with the same bank as my husband instead. Yesterday, I got a letter saying they have reviewed my case again and have offered me an extra £470 compensation and it will be paid by the end of Dec 2019 into my old TSB savings account which is now closed. I did do a switch over when I moved to RBS so does that mean that anything from the TSB account will still go into the RBS one or will it be fully shut down now?
I plan to call up or go in tomorrow but just wondering if anyone knows how this kind of thing would go. Thanks

Are you sure you switched a TSB savings account to RBS?0

If you used the current account switch service then any payment to your old account will automatically be redirected to your new account for three years from closure.
This happened to me on Monday as a Pingit payment went to my old account and was instantly redirected to my new account. I only found out when my old bank sent me a statement with this transaction yesterday.0 -
Savings accounts aren’t transferred over.
Contact them and provide an alternative means for the monies to be paid to you.0 -
CASS won't affect your savings account so if any money is deposited into this account, it will not automatically be forwarded to your new account. As such you will need to contact TSB and arrange for them to pay you by another way - they should be able to provide you with a cheque, or pay into another account that you nominate.0

Yesterday Mrsdorian received a cheque from TSB for compensation relating to issues unrelated to the IT meltdowns. She does not have a TSB account but operates one through POA. All she needs to do now is find a brach to deposit it, or wait for the mobile banking bus.0
