Which bank account for a new customer?

Hello everyone,
I am a student who is going to go off to university next year, and have got my first part time job., and I need a bank account so that the money from the job can be paid in it. I would like an account which has some kind of added benefits, such as money for joining, (although I don't want to pay any fees). However, all the accounts listed here only give bonuses if you switch, whereas I will be joining for the first time.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Don't know if these are still available. But banks used to offer students some goodies for joining. Tanke a look at the big banks and see what they are offering.Life in the slow lane0

Nothing exciting; definitely no joining incentives. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/students/student-bank-account/
BUT you might be able to get £50 via Quidco if you apply for a TSB account. TSB Plus also pays 3% interest on up the £1,500 if you can fulfill the conditions. If you haven't got a Quidco account, check whether there are any referral offers on the referrer's board.0 -

I'd suggest Nationwide FlexOne - it gives free overseas usage and 1% interest.
You can upgrade to a Nationwide FlexStudent in due course. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
