800w x 600h radiator dimensions? distance between pipes.

I bought a radiator to replace an old one looking a bit rusty.
Rad from Screwfix is specced as 800wide x 600 high and although the panel itself is 800 wide, it is 812 wide between the openings at the bottom and my old one is dead on 800mm between the openings. This means I cant use it without paying someone to redo the pipes as there is no give in them whilst keeping them level - a simple job now getting complicated and potentially expensive.
DAK have any suggestions for me here - I know I could ring up a supplier but they may just read out the published specs as the rad itself IS 800 wide. Im heading towards putting back the old one for now rather than stumping up for a plumber which might be difficult this side of Christmas anyway.
Thanks in advance

1. The Kudox web site dimensions show the connection points flush (or even slightly inset) from the edges of the panels.
2. Not being funny, but have you removed the screwed "bungs" they use to protect the inlets in transit.
3. What sort of connections do you have on your valves, union or compression? If compression, you might be able to gain 6 mm per side by cutting back the tails.0 -

Ref the bungs - good question but yes I have removed them.
Ive laid old rad on the floor and the Screwfix one is the same panel size but the connections stick out 8mm beyond the radiator itself. on each side.
Ive measured both rads from the same point (ie ignored the tails already on the old one)
Old one 796mm - new one 218mm.
I think ive now convinced myself to get a 700mm and use extender connections each side - seems DIY-able!0 -
I cut the tails on mine, roughly 8mm each side and there was still some room to cut some more.0
