The will MUST have gone to probate.  If it hadn't no solicitor would have handed out any money (except payment of funeral & possibily utilities).  You need to do as xylophone said & get a copy of that will.  It is very easy to do!  About a year ago I got a copy of someones will that was then 14 years old - it was no problem at all.

I am in Scotland. Is it just the same? I know how our Scottish Government likes to reinvent the wheel so.....😉
