    Thanks, that's great advice. I didn't realise you could get an SSD so cheaply.


    Just one question on this - wouldn't I still need a Windows 10 licence ID? If so, where do I get one and how much would it cost?

    Depends on the model of laptop and how much you don't want to buy a key via eBay. Where they can be found at even less than £5.
  • As mentioned above change to a duel boot system have linux on one partition and windows on the other. This works well for me albeit I use Win 7 although MS are dropping support for it but it will still work windows programs.
