Depends on the model of laptop and how much you don't want to buy a key via eBay. Where they can be found at even less than £5.0 -
As mentioned above change to a duel boot system have linux on one partition and windows on the other. This works well for me albeit I use Win 7 although MS are dropping support for it but it will still work windows programs."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0
