Mystery leak caused by plumber?

Hello,
We had an issue with our boiler (pressure slowly dropped) so had a plumber do this:

"Supply and install boiler expansion vessel and PRV; Strip out W/C. Remove existing flush valve. Supply and install new flush valve. Refit W/C" and they also worked on the heaters: "Flush System & Magnetic Filter"

The boiler is next to a loft bathroom, which is above another bathroom.

A month after they did this, we started to get leaks of water coming down from the ceiling of the bathroom below the floor with the boiler/loft bathroom, after the bath tap had been on for around 10 minutes. A stream of hot water was coming through the lights above the bath and then down the wall.

The plumber couldn't find the cause. This has been happening every 4-6 weeks, whilst the bath is used every day. It may triggered by the toilet being flushed above the bath below it being filled with hot water, but not sure if it always occurs with the toilet being flushed.

The plumber has taken down the ceiling and is looking for the leak.

Does anyone know if the work that the plumber originally did could have triggered this?

Thanks

Sounds like the tube linking bath overflow to waste is not connected.
  • When it happens is the bath in the loft being used?

Don't quite understand this. What is being filled with hot water?

Have you had a look at the boiler install and for any streaks/sediment left by water leaking?

Turns out it was the toilet above the bathroom - it was overflowing when filling sometimes, and spilling down onto the floor below.
