Bar shower replacement

Hi all

We have a bar shower in the bathroom and it's not that great. It takes ages for the hot water to come through and sometimes it doesn't come through at all - even if it's on the hottest setting. I'm thinking about replacing it but is that hot water thing likely to be a problem with the shower itself or something to do with the water flow? Is the shower bar itself just something that lets the water through rather than being the problem itself? Thanks in advance.

I guess this means that the mixer is thermostatic. I am no expert, but if so, this looks like a fauly thermostatic mixer.

Looks like a new thermostatic mixer time we changed ours recently after 6.5 years service.

I know Mira mixers have a filter in both the hot and cold side of the thermostic valve cartridge, which can get clogged, especially in hard water areas....not sure if bar style are the same

Time for a change probably. Pretty straightforward to do.
