Electricians with 12 Month Guarantee?

Anybody heard of Electrician Companies that give good guarantees for their work!
My usual Electrician always gave a 12 month cover but he has retired and recommended another firm to me however, this new Company does not offer a guarantee.
I have used Local Heroes for plumbing with one good person and one bad but i know they offer 12 guarantee so still a possibility.
Enjoy everyday like it's your last!

    Guarantee on what ?
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

You’re not going to get a written guarantee from most electricians, but any failure I would expect them to rectify in the first 12 months especially if they have supplied all the fittings. Trading standards/ court would be on your side if they didn’t.

If a qualified electrician does work, and it goes wrong within 12 months, you ask him to come back. Just as if you had a guarantee.
If he refuses, you sue him (just as if you had a guarantee).

Most reasonable electricians will have a set of Terms and Conditions that sets out the warranty they provide on items they have supplied. They will also provide a warranty for their own work, but as stated above, even if they don't explicitly provide a warranty and their work causes a problem you can sue them under consumer legislation.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
