Windows own built in one is fine
+1 if you're using Windows 10. (Which you almost certainly are). No need for a 3rd party AV product. You could install the (free) MalwareBytes AntiMalware (MBAM) for occasional malware scanning ... the paid-for version enables a realtime scanner which can prevent nasties even reaching your computer.0 -
If you are running Windows 10 then the built in Defender will do the job.
Alternatively, you can try Bitdefender which works effectively on all versions.0 -
If you don't want to use windows built in one then Panda is one I'd suggest. I use it on all my pc's.0

As Neil49 suggested Bitdeffender I find it is very good indeed but it's not free, but how much do you value your security? free stuff always has its draw backs."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

I recommend you use the Built-in anti-virus if you are currently using windows 10, but if not you can use Bitdefender. I am also using Windows Defender or the built in anti virus on windows 10.
or maybe you should see some guides on that, I'm sure you can find them online like I did when I went to find some guides on tactical flashlights.0 -
