Private PCN - Wrong Date on Letter

Hi All

I received a PCN as disabled driver on Private Land . I parked in a Blue Badge Bay where it said to display the badge which I did ( in small writing it said " if unsure please refrain from parking or check website) . They said I am liable as I didn't have a Guest Parking Voucher to park there ? There were no signs to say I needed one?? The Helpline is always " you are number 18 in the que" and I cannot see anything on line which states I cannot use the bay .
I have also noticed that the date of the ticket isn't the date I parked there - they are 2 days out .. any help much appreciated

You'll need your own photos of the signage. You will need to check the PPCs website for any photos of your car parked in the disabled space. Those photos should be time stamped, so check those out against their alleged date of 'infringement'. If they are indeed two days apart, take screenshots of the website photos.

  • Thanks Umkomaas and Redx - I have my own photos and theirs and theirs has the 14th Oct and PCN dated 16th Oct - so is it a valid PCN as they made a mistake

You won't get anywhere by phoning or contacting them

Are you saying you parked of a different date to the date they are claiming?

If that is the case, do you have any proof that you were somewhere else, in your car on the day / time in question.

Possibly being "videoed" driving in & out a supermarket car park, which can be obtained for free under the Data Protection Act

You can then use that to prove you couldn't have parked there, on the day they claim.

The letter sent is dated 21/11 the PCN date on the letter is 16/11 but when I looked at the photographic evidence they sent it is dated the 14/11 in the photos on line - so my question is do I have to pay is this legal
