Shot Self in Foot. Consumer Rights Rescue?

Is this a long shot?
I just bought a TV from Currys. 3 days after paying by credit card they dropped the price by £400. Can I return it as unwanted then buy it again at the lower price. (Also reduced at John Lewis) It would just be within their 14 days returns policy.
But I have used it. If they say “No” do I have a I legal (Unshot!) leg to stand on. Their policy on used returns items is a bit vague. They exclude some items but I saw no mention of tellys. Or, am I pathetically grasping at straws?
