Motorcycle insurance claim

My high mileage 20 Yr old motorbike was knocked over whilst parked by an elderly lady in an automatic car. She accepted full responsibility. The vehicle has been assessed and to avoid being written off, and as I do all my own repairs and maintenance and have looked after it well, the assessor is offering to avoid a write off by offering cost of 2nd hand parts from ebay etc to restore the bike to as before condition. This will hopefully more than cover the cost but I feel aggrieved as it will take time to source the parts and my effort to fit them. Am I unreasonable in asking for more in recognition of this? Do I negotiate with the assessor or wait until the insurance company come back to me for acceptance? Thanks
