Nanny, I'm sorry that the results were a bit worrying, I shall keep my fingers crossed that the consultants come up with a new treatment.

Gers, Jackie and anyone else recovering, I hope that things go as well as possible.

We spent yesterday with Laura, Brian and Esben. It was lovely seeing them all and they seem to be really settling as a little family, they are going to register Esben's name today.

Sister-in-law is going home this afternoon, Steve is trying to install Whatsapp on her ipad. She doesn't have a smartphone and it seems you need one, if anyone knows different let me know.

Snoozer - AFAIK WhatsApp isn't available for iPads. However

you could post on the tech board as you'll get a proper answer there. https://metro.co.uk/2019/04/09/whatsapp-finally-coming-ipad-great-news-apple-fans-9137726/

    Morning all.
Nanny really sorry the results for DH weren't what you hoped & hope the consultant can help. Hugs
    Gers & Jackie recovery hugs.
My brother is coming in an hour and I need another tidy after DGS was here last night.I was shattered yesterday, carried too much home from town,a mixture of food, birthday presents for DGS this weekend and Xmas for both DGC.Managed to get the birthday ones wrapped and hidden before he came , and the others in the loft. The bus I was on,only a little one , nearly crashed yesterday when someone pulled out onto the main road, how our driver missed him I don't know, fast reactions but the other 2 passengers, driver and myself were all a little shocked
Speky, as a Mum I can understand her silent reaction, but it sounds like you'd really enjoy it :)
Mehefin hope new mare is ok
Snoozer glad you enjoyed your visit

    Bye for now,take care all

Morning all//going to be a quick one today. Yesterday I met friends for lunch, then came home and because it's green bin collection day for us today I cut the grass to get that full [ couldn't cut it before nw because of all the rain we've had, it hasn't had a chance to dry out]. So after i did that I decided to chop up some kindling. All was going well until I had nearly finished...decided to do one more bit to make a fire...sliced the top of my nail and finger off - sonuds worse than it is, it cane off horizontally not vertically...that hatchet is very very sharp...Doh!
Then spent a good protion of the vening at hospital with OH who has been having chest pains, but thank goodness it's just an infection.
Today I have stuff to take to the tip...very gingerly...
Nanny, so sorry to hear this, hope they can find something that will get him back to what he was..And glad you have an appointment, ask about the cough! Glad to hear you're doing really well Gers. Jackie, no idea sorry, but it takes as long as t takes and it's easier to do nothing to exacerbate it...speky, did you tell your mother all that? Rosy, glad you were all OK! mehefin, good luck with the horses and with your son. tru congrats to your son! Hope everyones bruises are healing nicely....hey readers along...Toasty Thursday...

I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Hi Chums thank you for all your good wishes, sorry to have ranted off but I was feeling really cheesed off ,I realise it will take as long as it takes I am just not used to being so imobile and being off the road is a real nuisance as I have been driving 58 years and am so used to just using my car to get around, I shall be using my bus pass tomorrow as I want to go back to my house to check the post and make sure every thing is as it should be.

In the afternoon DGS Henry will be home from Uni for the weekend and he always makes me smile ,he is such a lovely lad a real gentle giant just like his late Granddad bless him.

DD bought me a dear little tiny hot water bottle that I can tuck under my poorly wing and the heat on it is lovely and relaxing .

My eldest DD is stressing as she is thinking I can't cope on my own, and will become too dependant on her sister (like that's likely to happen :))

youngest DD is just happy that I am at her house where there is someone around as often my son-in-law works from home and I just stick my head around the study door and see if he wants a cuppa now and again:) Plus the dogs think its great that Granny is around to let them out with the hope of a bit of my rich tea biscuit as a treat :)

As soon a sI am able I shall be homeward bound though ,but I won't be doing much baking for awhile I think. Still I do have stack of books to catch up on at least .Feeling a bit more positive tonight ,so sorry for the moans last night ,was just feeling sorry for myself which is not like me at all.I just have to keep repeating Patience ,patience, patience on the hour every hour :):);)

Take care everyone and thanks again for the messages

    JackieO xx
