Got a message on computer this morning to say update ready so have installed it/updated it and it altered Internet explorer to IE7 rather than the 6 that I think we previously have
Now the toolbar things have altered. At the top is the address bar
Then there is the line with file, edit, view, favourites, tools and help
then there is my robofom bar
then there is the tabs and home, refresh, print etc
Is there a way of moving them so the address bar is nearer the bottom like it was on the old one or is it just a case of having to get used to it?!
Thanks

I know what you mean! The new version does this and I do not know how to alter it.
Still, I do not use IE so much anymore, I use Firefox as I find it easier to use and at the same time I am not supporting Microsoft.New site coming soon, watch this space [space wats that, the final frontier]....0 -

Bizarrely I replied to this at 9am and it's disappeared! I even posted a useful link, so here it is again: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/community/columns/ie7_toolbar.mspx0

If you prefer IE6 you can uninstall IE7, just go to control panel, add remove programs and uninstall 7, IE6 will then be your browser again.
However you must also go to updates and switch off the automatic downloads, select advise when downloads are available (or words similar) then when the next downloads are ready do not choose automatic download and install, you can then un tick the IE7 download which will re-appear and also then mark do not offer it for download again.
You can still change to IE7 at a later stage if wanted.0 -

I agree, why the heck do they, not just M$, "fix things if they aren't broken"?
Although I am carrying on with IE7 having now got used to it, but only infrequently.
I use Firefox most of the time and find that much better and more logical than IE. Why not download that as well and give it a try?0 -
