Things for kids in Lanzarote in December

Hi,
So we are family of four (kids aged 13 and 9) and we are going to Lanzarote for a bit of warmth over Christmas 2019 for 5 days. This is inspired by a similar trip to Tenerife three years ago where the kids greatly enjoyed Snorkelling, Siam Park, Loro Parque and Mount Teide.
I am hoping for similar fun in Lanzarote but the Aquapark and Dino Park water parks are closed. The Aqualava water park is much smaller with not so great reviews:(
By now, you must have realised how big fans we are of water parks
So I need your help to tell me what I can do during this 5 day break with my kids including all options.
Also, I booked a nice apartment for £280 (in Arrecife) but without swimming pool as I have seen most pools in Lanzarote are outdoor ones and not heated, so I am presuming it would be too cold in Dec for kids to go into them. I have free cancellation on my apartment, so if you disagree, please let me know.
Thanks a lot for your inputs in advance.

Hi psarinuk
As a fan of Lanzarote myself, I recommend that you join the Facebook group:
Need to Know - Lanzarote
You'll get all the latest Lanzarote news and will receive helpful answers to your questions. It really is a wonderful community.
I'm sorry that I can't answer your query about water parks but the Facebook group will help you.
I've stayed at Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise. They have 2 heated outdoor swimming pools:

Enjoy your holiday to lovely Lanzarote.

Love Lanzarote is another FB group you could join.
We've been going to Lanza for 29 years for 3/4 weeks a year. I presume you are aware that Arrecife is the capital city, not a resort, and as such doesn't have the usual attractions of a resort? It also, in the main, observes siesta hours.
Aqualava is ok, but expensive. The water park at Costa Teguise is always closed in the winter because the water is too cold. I wasn't aware that Dino Park was closed. Also the weather may not be conducive to outdoor activities.
The Arrecife Gran in has a heated indoor pool you can pay to use, but it is just a swimming pool, not a fun pool. At that time of year the sea is usually warmer than a non heated pool. Most of the heated outdoor pools are just acclimatised and not what you'd call warm a lot of the time.
Some hotels will allow you to use their pool if you enquire in advance. They may make a charge or you may be required to buy a day pass. Some prefer to keep their facilities for their resident guests.
Lanzarote is not Tenerife, thankfully, so is quieter with less touristy things to do. The Manrique attractions are fascinating and educational and well worth visiting though, more so if you drive yourself instead of going on a excursion. Most kids and adults love the Timanfaya trip with a drive around the volcanic route.0
