Credit card increases

Options
Morning – we have had several increases of available credit on various credit cards in the past – can we reclaim the amount of interest we have paid in the past on the basis of non-affordability.
Although the majority have been paid we struggled at the time to do this - Thanks

  • No, of course not. You were not forced to spend up to your available limit.

If you cannot control your spending, lower your limits.

Not sure why you think you have a claim? A credit card limit isn't a challenge, there was no one forcing you to spend it. You also state the majority were paid but you struggled to pay, so if they were paid (struggle or not) what are you looking to claim?

If you inform the bank that you are a vulnerable individual who cannot control their spending, the bank will note this on your file and reduce your credit facilities in future.
