As Capital One are regarded as a ‘sub prime’ credit card company, are the Post Office cards (now issued by Capital One) also now regarded as sub-prime?

For example, would Capital One ‘score’ or 'risk assess' people the same whether they apply for a P.O. card or a Capital One card?

Just trying to work out why anyone would apply for a Capital One card if they are eligible for a PO card as the P.O. cards seem to offer lower rates and larger 'upto' credit limits.

Thanks for that.
I had an idea it may-be so, but wasn't totally sure.
Not that I am applying for the new PO card anyway - the 'old' Bank of Ireland P.O. Platinum card that I have is much better, a much lower interest rate and still having over a a year's 0% spending and no foreign transaction charges.
The new P.O. cards are not as good as the older ones.

Capital One are one of the biggest sub prime lenders in the world but they are not just a sub prime lender.
They also offer a range of reward cards etc to people in the excellent score ratings too, all over the world.
The Post office is also just one of hundreds of companies under the Capitol One umbrella.0
