HELP Hubby has lost my car NCD by handling both policies in his name

I had a claim with Direct Line earlier this year. They were brilliant.
I too am surprised by negative feedback about DL. I've found them to be one of the best insurers out there for claims handling and customer service.
Just a pity they seem to regard me as higher risk now than I was 10 years ago despite 10+ years NCD and a completely clean record! They can never beat my renewal quote with Aviva.0 -

Fortunately I've not to claim while I've been with Direct Line.
Admiral handled a claim for me and another for my wife and they were great, I don't ensure with them any more for other reasons.
Axa and Halifax are the companies I won't deal with any more because of how claims have been handled.0 -
Hes so clued up with the technical details that he missed this cruicial point with ncd. Also the fact the policy holder is the main driver of the vehicle so he shouldnt be the policy holder on your car.
Seems like hes just done it to get a discount for insyring 2 cars in his name0 -

Why are people using the word ensure instead of insure?0

If you're the main driver of one of the cars, make sure he is telling the insurers that.0

The policy holder doesn't have to be the main driver of the vehicle, but the main driver must be properly declared.0 -

The policy holder doesn't even have to be a driver.
My father never drove nor held a licence, but got an insurance discount through his employer and my mother drove. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
