  • Like I said if paying in full then the interest is of not relevance.

No one knows they’re “subprime” except the cardholder.

Would financial institutions measure a customers creditworthiness on the type of card someone held as well as other things? I know they frown upon cash withdrawals from credit cards and wondered if just holding one of these cards might cause a black mark?

What do you mean "type of card"?

Other lenders won't see who your cards are with and what "type" of card it is.

So no, to answer your question.

Each card is a direct debit & they are worth money.

Barclays give £3 per month for 2 direct debits
Halifax give £2 per month for 2 direct debits
Coop give £4 per month for 4 direct debits
  • Thanks everyone. Think I will close the fluid card but keep the £5500 aqua card open as it's my oldest card. My very first card that got me on the credit card ladder

So will have the old aqua card and the Barclaycard and MBNA card that are both BT/purchase cards

It took you 1.5 months to reach that decision lol :D

Is the Aqua card one of the ones with free foreign currency transactions? If it is, then it is handy if you go abroad :)

I would close the 2 high interest ones which have zero balance.
I would use a card that suit my needs.
I use cards that work for me like reward cards.
if you make a lot of purchases and clear the balance every month these can work in your favour. as points can be used for free hotel booking or flights where you just pay taxes
