    Evening all,

Gers......glad that you have your first recovery week over.....it will get better from now.

Dumpling......seems as if you are getting the help you need, best wishes to Phoebe and congratulations on her bravery in going back to work.

Speky......I would be as gobsmacked as your mum if one of my sons told me out of the blue that he had joined the reserves!

Ruby......glad that your foot has improved., hopefully the improvement will continue.

nmlc......beef stew. sounds good, will put it on my list for next week, no dumplings as I am the only one in the house to eat them.

DD3 and family are moving into their house on Friday, which is DGD7s third birthday......party on Saturday and we will come home and mourn DGD7s absence!

Take care everyone, stay warm and safe

  • Good evening chums (just ) Well I am still at my darling Tess's house, and bless them I am been so well looked after.Only being able to use my left arm to do anything. When you are naturally right handed is a pain and very difficult at times..But I shall persevere.
Today started off not too bad, I told my son-in-law i was going to have a short walk around to my house (normally) takes about 10 minutes
Yesterday was a bad day pain-wise but it was so cold and damp. I think it just got into my bones.. Anyhow took a slow walk round as I wanted to put my heating on for a couple of hours and and have a long hot shower and wash my hair
I have a ground floor walk -in shower. The weather was dry and not too cold so off I went.took me about 25 minute as I have one arm in a sling, and my stick in the other arm plus my bag so I wasn't about to start running :) Made it home in one piece and did some letter that needed seeing to plus a couple of phone calls as well.Had my shower and a few sailors swear words trying to get dressed one handed :) but managed it in the end :) a 15 minute shower takes twice as long at the moment

Sorted what I had to do indoors the walked half way back to DDs house, then gave in and caught a bus for the last two stops. felt rather worn out when I got back so curled up on the sofa with one of the dogs and had half an hours nap. I think we both enjoyed it :)
Simon, my son in law made me some lunch and I had a restful afternoon listening to The Archers via my laptop. I will be glad when this arm starts to work again properly. Has anyone on here torn their rotator cuff muscles, and how long to heal as I am stuck without my car.OK if I just want to drive in a straight line but a problem if I have to turn a corner. DD is quite happy for me to stay but I have so much to do at the moment can't even knit at the moment. no cooking, cleaning washing up laundry at all feeling pretty fed up to be honest. Still two of my grandsons are home this weekend so that will cheer me up.

Its their Dads birthday next Tuesday so Ben is coming home from London for the weekend and our Henry is coming home from Colchester Uni. Jack cam home last weekend bless him cos he was worried about his old granny. Couldn't even make him some of his favourite cheese and onion sausage rolls. But he said it means he will ave to have double the amount at Christmas.

I have been missing book club, history club.coffee mornings, quiz night my life is on hold at the moment :) Anyone done their rotator cuff, and know how long it takes to repair. I also have a bit blister type amount of water from a bruise on my left knee I swear I'm falling to bits :):):)

Well that's my rant over for the week.fingers crossed it will get better next week

Hope you are keeping well and warm

    Tale care chums
    JackieO xx
