RBS phone interview?

Hi there,

RBS rang me a couple of weeks to say they needed a “phone interview” with me, on the subject of a PPI claim I made back in July (I have evidence of PPI payments on a NatWest loan).

Has anyone else had this? The call’s tomorrow; booked in for a disconcertingly long 45 minutes! Apparently I don’t need to prepare anything, but I’m quite apprehensive!

Any experience/insight out there, as to what I can expect?

Many thanks in advance!

  • Lots of people have them.

All you need to do is tell the truth. If you don't remember something,, just say so.

It's only if you try to make up mis sale reasons that you need to get nervous.
  • Thanks. I have absolutely no reason to invent tales of misselling, as I have no recollection of the loan application process at all. My apprehension stems from the length of time set aside for the call, and the fact I haven’t heard of anyone else having a phone interview. I was keen to find out what information they’d be asking me for.
  • They'll ask you about your complaint reasons and any additional information you have to support them. 45 minutes is just a generic slot. It might last 5 minutes.

Or three hours if you have a lot to say
