PCN code 19 in courtesy car

Hi guy

Please could someone offer their opinion, I received a PCN code 19 for parking outside my house in a resident parking permit area whilst in a courtesy car.

Was in the car due to personal vehicle failing MOT on a Friday afternoon. Put a temporary permit in window but only had one so got a PCN the following morning.

I challenged it online but the council have rejected it because they say I should have sought legal parking elsewhere or got a temporary permit arranged but it’s fair to say I could not arrange that because of the timing (failed MOT Friday afternoon).

Is it not worth challenging further? I feel so annoyed because I had no idea my car would fail it’s MOT which has a residents permit btw. It all happened around 5pm on a Friday too.

Thank you

As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering) and post a new thread; here's your link:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.

PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
