I am completely new to all this. We’re getting some work done in our 1902 semi. It involves knocking a wall down and building a small utility extension to the side. Had our first fee quote though for drawings and I’ve no idea what is reasonable or not.
We’ve been quoted the following ...
INTERNAL ALTERATIONS TO PROVIDE OPEN PLAN KITCHEN FAMILY DINING. VELUX OVER DINING. RE-MODEL LANDING STORE. BI-FOLDING DOORS TO REAR. SIDE UTILITY EXTENSION. RE-ROOF FLAT ROOF WITH LANTERN OVER.
Drawing fees 2995+ VAT
About another £1500 over and above that for building regs and planning permission fees

If it helps I just got planning for 2 extensions.
Architect first plans - £800
Second set once planning was done for the structural engineer £900
Structural engineer is £800
If I were you I would get a few quotes as that seems a little high. I originally had some quotes of 60% higher than I paid.Nice to save.0
