What do I do? Estate Agents accusing me of fly tipping

You should point out that if the Estate Agents want to sue you for the disposal they have a duty of care to keep costs to a minimum, if the items are booked for removal already, send some form of proof, and they are not causing an obstruction then there would be no reason to remove them sooner than 17th December and incurr more costs.
If they want to have them removed they have that right, but at their own expense.0 -
I used to live in a flat where the council took that long to collect items. It caused issues in that with something waiting outside to be collected other people would add to it or think they could just leave things outside. At one time we had 2 washing maching, a cooker and a sofa all dumped/waiting outside the flats.
I used to pay for things to removed immediately by someone other than the council to avoid this.
The leasehoid management of the flats may be on top of the situation in the OPs flats to stop this happening.0 -
But has she? Telling the agents is one thing, but providing a copy or sight of the council receipt is the way to go.OP can demonstrate the mattress is in the process of being disposed of.
It reads as if the agency is piggy in the middle here, with the management committee chasing them, but of course that might be just an impression the agent wants to create.
Anyway, I doubt if action will follow if the OP provides proof that the matter is genuinely in hand. As Sally says, rubbish begets rubbish, which is why residents tend to react strongly when they see what seems to be dumped items.0
