Hacked electric car charging stations in Russia displays ‘Putin is a d*ckhead’ and ‘glory to Ukraine’Hackers are ramping up their effort to disrupt Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine, and now it’s even affecting electric car owners in the country. A bunch of electric car charging stations outside Moscow were hacked and disabled. While EV owners couldn’t charge, the display on the stations shared some words about Vladimir Putin.Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the world trying to dissuade the aggressor through sanctions, hackers have been trying to do their part by disrupting Russia’s infrastructure through cyberattacks.
Quickly after the invasion started last week, Anonymous, a collective of hackers, has sworn to do everything it can to disrupt the country through cyberattacks. Apparently, they have been quite effective with several Russian websites reporting being down after cyberattacks over the last week, including several government websites.
They're just as excellently engineered in terms of wording.💙💛 💔3 -
Cracking price for a bidirectional charger from Ford.
Ford Charge Station Pro Pricing Revealed
Ford today revealed pricing for its Charge Station Pro, an 80-amp bidirectional charging station that is required for F-150 Lightning owners to utilize Ford's Intelligent Backup Power option.
The Ford Charge Station Pro, which was co-developed with Siemens eMobility, is now available from Ford's website for $1,310.00. While that may sound like a lot of money, it's actually very reasonably priced for an 80-amp charging station that can offer bidirectional power flow.

Just looking at Norway's Feb sales, and noted the increase from 2020 & 2021. Over the 3 Febs (2 years), the number has gone from approx 50%, to 47% to 76% and BEV's appear to be squeezing out PHEV's now too.
Norway Above 86% Plugin EV Share In February, Ioniq 5 Leads
Norway, the world’s leading auto market for electric vehicle adoption, saw plugins take 86.1% share in February, even with favorite Tesla models temporarily off-duty. Overall auto market volume was some 20% down from the seasonal average of the past two years. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 took the top spot.Outlook
February is typically the lowest result of the year for Norway’s plugins, so the temporary dip to 86.1% is not a surprise, and will be back over 90% again in the coming months.
As I’ve said many times before, the journey from 90% to 100% will require more diversity of BEV models. In particular, affordable small and compact “economy” models, which are still the exclusive domain of combustion-only powertrains in Norway.
Until a greater diversity of models arrive, Norway won’t get all the way to 100%. Nevertheless this year will likely see every coming month above 90% share, and perhaps close to 95% in December.

These survey results announced over the last few days contradict surveys last year when a far higher number of people indicated their next car might be electric. Maybe best to ignore opinion polls and instead look at actual sales.
New survey reveals one in 10 drivers plan to buy an electric vehicle as next car

Which? survey finds that new electric cars are less reliable than petrol or diesel models
A breakdown by brand/model would have been useful. In the poll of more than 48,000 people, 31 per cent of electric car owners admitted they had experienced a problem with their vehicle in its first four years.
That figure dropped considerably for owners of petrol and diesel cars with 19 per cent and 29 per cent reporting problems respectively.
Edit: This is Money however went in to bat for EVs
While the report painted an unreliable picture for pure electric models, Which? concedes that most faults reported are software issues rather than serious problems with batteries or parts of the drivetrain that powers the vehicle.
This means most issues are likely with infotainment screens and other electrical features, such as reversing cameras.
The RAC warned that Which?'s findings 'should be taken with a pinch of salt' and that many of these software glitches raised could be simple to resolve.

As neither article specifies whether it is new car sales, I''m assuming it means all sales. It may be the shortage of secondhand EVs that is skewing the figures?

I took my Leaf in for a service today and was relieved of £209. I was surprised to see how many 0-3 year old Leafs there were on the forecourt for sale.
