Morning All
Minus 4 when I left for the pool this morning but strangely not as much ice on the car as previous days. There was a beautiful sunrise but sadly it's quite overcast now.
Before I went swimming I called into DDs to return some washing, get something out of the freezer for their tea and turn the heating on as they've been down south for a few days. Need to have a word with them about turning the heating off when they knew it would be cold and frosty.
Thankfully the heating is on at work this morning, it was 5 degrees in the building yesterday morning, took until 3pm for it to warm up. The poor children were wearing coats all day.
Pleased to hear you'll be moving back upstairs dumpling, you sound in good spirits.
Poor Evie RR, hope she isn't too traumatised. Glad your foot isn't giving you as much pain.
Feel better soon snoozers.
How are you today Gers?
Have a good day, take care. XX0 -
Morning all
It was icy last night and it's only up to 2 degrees now.
My dry cough took hold last night and I coughed myself sick. I'm not feeling 100% today, however I have to strip the bed and wash the bedding, as today is the only day we have free of appointments or the DGC. There is a wash already in the WM and the bedding is waiting in the wings. We have put the heating on as MR Fix It feels the cold nowadays so the washing will be put on the radiators and over the airer. I'll get Mr Fix It on the hoovering too, after all he made half ( or more ) of the mess :rotfl:.
DGS was chuffed to bits when he came home from school yesterday, as he and another classmate/friend have been chosen to represent their school in a swimming competition on Thursday. It's their first competition so I hope they enjoy it even if they don't win, but I hope they do win !
Anyway tea will be something with the leftover chicken, but I'm not sure what.
Take care all and wrap up warm if you're venturing out. Hugs

Afternoon folks.
It's awfully chilly here, my chair is next to the radiator so at least I get some benefit.
This morning I made DM her breakfast as she had done her own for nearly a week. It was a slow job and I had to use her Zimmer with bucket, but got it done. The cleaner is here now and working her way through the place whilst DM is holed up in her bedroom.
Nan - great news about your swimmers! Fingers are crossed for him and his team. School galas are always great fun.
Rosy - good to hear that the funeral was a success.
Scarlett - hope all goes well with your appointment.
Snoozer - keep that chest wrapped up!
RedR - it's lovely to hear that the injection has helped ease the pain for you, what a good result (so far).
Tru - I had a laugh at Scamp the other day! Funny how dogs only really hear what they want to. I am eagerly waiting for your December tunes again...
Dumpling - FAB news! Well done you.
TA - I await news of your Tuesday lunch!
My main struggle now is sleeping - I usually sleep on my side so doing it on my back is a real problem for me. There's another five weeks of it too. I'm really tired this morning so, once the cleaner has left, I may well retire to bed to see if I can drop off again. I've paid the Factor's bill and renewed DM's BT Line Rental Saver for another year. My work here today is done!
My thoughts are with those struggling with more important problems than my lack of sleep. Happy rest of Tuesday to all.0 -
Just for you GERS! We were both back to our old favourite Cheesy Broccoli Bake today as we haven't had it for a while. It comes with salad and garlic bread but being gluttons we both ordered chips with it as well!
It sounds as if some of the poorlies are on the mend. Well done DUMPLING, REDRUBY and GERS. Let's hope JACKIE is feeling a bit more painfree too and those with hospital appointments fared well.
Take care one and all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
