Cost of towing car

Hi all

Car broke down today and for the sake of time got it towed to a local garage up the road which I have never head of or used (AA driver recommended them). I have checked the Ford website (it's a Fiesta) and the cost of replacing a clutch cost less than £500 including parts and labour. In case this garage tries to be clever and charge me a fortune, I want to have the car towed to my local Ford Dealership less than 10 miles away and get it fixed there (I would also have my courtesy car extended beyond the two days if I use Ford garage). How much roughly you reckon it would cost to tow?

Wouldn't surprise me if the dealer collected.

But getting a dealer to replace a clutch? That's going to be top dollar! High hourly rate plus premium-price parts.

Decide on whatever garage you want to use and ask them to arrange collection. No doubt you will be charged a storage fee from the first garage.
