Unfair PCN notice

The OP could send a complaint to the Information Commissioner because the parking firm is processing data that they are not entitled to.
Unless they were handed the ticket by another motorist and therefore the wrong VRN was attached to that ticket?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

KeithP I have told it exactly as it is, yes I still have the ticket. You can now see why I am so against paying the fine as there is basically a £1 discrepancy between what I paid and what they are saying I should have paid. This was a completely genuine mistake and I fully believed I was parked correctly. The ticket was purchased literally within a minute or two of arrival and clearly stayed valid until 23:59. The car park in question is some land behind the plumbing centre in Nottingham city centre ner the train station. I dont even know who the land owner is.0

As for being handed a ticket by another motorist, this was most certainly not the case. The driver purchased the ticket from the machine and in this case the VRN is not on the ticket either.0

I believe you. The entire industry operates a scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do this .... and if you're up for it, be prepared to take it to court. A lot of waiting for the court appearance (if they dare), some preparation, the prospect of the edifying sight of the PPC's representatives floundering miserably and indeed, of winning.
Additionally, somebody owns or manages that land. One way of finding out is to contact the council and find out who pays the business rates (or is it non-business rates? A search on the forum will clarify). Or for about a fiver land registry will provide the details.
Some people don't know what 'Kafkaesque' means or would think you pretentious, personally I'd say that was spot on. In any case you need to find a more pedestrian way of conveying the same thing to the landowner, with a really clear description of what has happened. And a good dose of outrage. And insist that the landowner cancel.
Just try everything you can.0 -
Good advice MistyZ, it's the non-domestic rates.Additionally, somebody owns or manages that land. One question, is it worth contacting TNC with regards to the debt letter, or should I continue to ignore them and deal only with CPS?0
