EDF Contract

My EDF Contract expires 29 Feb 2020. The T&Cs state that I can change tariff or supplier within 90 days of that date without incurring the exit fees. That is 1 Dec 2019 onwards. I understand that when switching supplier, there is a 14 day cooling off period and the switch then takes 3 days after that. So if I initiate a switch today, 14 days takes me to 2nd December plus 3 days to switch makes change over date 5 December. So no exit fees? Or do I have to wait until 1 December to initiate the switch?

Better to wait. The Ts & Cs state:-

"You need to pay your tariff's exit fee if you cancel your tariff with more than three months to go on your contract - even if you're cancelling it to move onto another EDF Energy tariff.

"You don't have to pay the exit fee if your tariff is due to end within the next three months, or if you cancel within the 14-day cooling off period when you first sign up."
