NOTHING IS FREE!
They are a business not a charity, you may as well go for a FREE brake check at KF whilst you are at it.
Support your local garage if you can't do the checks yourself.0 -
My MIL (84) takes full advantage of the AC free "Health (Winter) Checks" it keeps her happy.0

I used it recently and the nice man pointed out that my car was getting to the point where it was going to be more economic to replace it for a newer one. I for one am glad to have had the benefit of such excellent advice, who knows what would have happened otherwise. I will be taking my new car back every year, just to be on the safe side. Thank you Arnold Clark!"For every complicated problem, there is always a simple, wrong answer"0

Of course it’s free. Any recommended work is at your choice.Mortgage free

As long as you go in with your eyes open I don't see the problem. Many companies offer these free checks (KF, Formula one, halfords) and basically they hope to sell you services on the back of it.
So get the free checks done, let them top up your oil, winscreen wash etc and tell you how worn your tyres are. Then assess their recomendations for work and go elsewhere if something really does need doing.0 -
If you can fight off the scaremongering that'll inevitably follow, then you could have done the checks yourself.sheslookinhot wrote: »Of course it’s free. Any recommended work is at your choice.0 -
Hello,
Has anyone tried Arnold Clark Free Winter Check? I’m not sure if it’s worth the hassle but I would like reassurance about my car. Is it truly free and does anyone have any experiences of it?
You can get MOTs for around £25/£35 you get the whole car checked, you could just ask about the cars battery health as a freeby.0
