Put april 2020 statement of truth into google to see how different.

It changed just 2 weeks ago and I've edited the NEWBIES thread to mention it and show the new version for defence or WS stage.

It is not yet in the template defence because I want to make a few edits to it anyway, to add in stuff about P/Eye v Somerfield (para about £60 being penal) and I might replace some of the Appendices with the new one from Luton and a new one from Caernarfon...where the Judge has been really shirty with VCS and struck another of their cases out with out a hearing, despite the application they made and 'won' in October! 

I realise you are at WS stage and well past defence.

You do need to make sure the above judgments are appended to your WS and you should look at the example of a court bundle by @keypulse

I cannot tell you what is ok in this new world we inhabit due to c19 , it's ok to me but no idea what a judge expects but we normally advise against a hearing on papers

Yes the statement of truth changed this month , which was the reason I mentioned it , it's no longer what you wrote above , you need to keep up to date with events at the moment , especially all these changes , the devil is in the detail

For witness statements, the statement of truth’s wording will be as follows:
I believe that the facts stated in this witness statement are true.  I understand that proceedings for contempt of court may be brought against anyone who makes, or causes to be made, a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth without an honest belief in its truth.

Simply means that if the legal tell lies, they could be held in contempt.

Thanks beamerguy.  No I haven't sent that letter.  My WS must be in by Friday so I guess it is too late to send now as I would not be able to include that or any response.

OK, so just do as I suggested an look at the bundle prepared by @keypulse to make sure yours is as thorough (needs the defence adding though, as explained in the TELEPHONE HEARINGS thread).

The idea of the covering email is to try to get a strike out and to avoid a remote hearing if at all possible.  And it saves all that printing!

Sorry but FOOL ???   The purpose of the letter is to advise the legal that you are fully aware of ABUSE OF PROCESS as right now they probably think you are a mug ?

The letter is designed to get an answer as to their legal authority for the fake £60 ... they have none.
The letter gives them an option to discontinue or .... as they already know, a spanking is ahead of them 
A copy of the letter from you, can be included with your WS and you can refer this to the judge.
A judge will be more interested that you tried to resolve the issue to save wasting the courts time on such trivial cases.  

Right now the judge's are going to struggle, give them a quick way to decide, they might not even read in full your WS

For what reason did you decide not to send that letter ?   get it sent NOW and BCC to your email address

I haven't seen your final version of your WS. The last one you posted still had errors such as para 7 saying "I did not notice …" Have you made this and the other amendments as suggested previously?
There is nothing wrong with saying, "I did not notice …" as long as you explain that you were an occupant of the car but not the driver. If you were not in the car then you must change that sentence.

Sorry Beamerguy, I didn't decide not to send the letter, I didn't know about it until you mentioned it in your post above.  I have read so many things on this forum and I can only say that I missed it.  Sadly I accept being a fool.  I will of course send it first thing AM. Thankyou.

You can upload a PDF but we prefer to see copy & paste rather than follow unknown links and have to hop about between one page and another...
