Address history effecting credit score?

Hi,

I am trying to check my credit score using the MSE Credit Club. However, I am seemingly ineligible to do this. Is this because I have not lived in the UK for the last 3 years?

My previous address in the UK was 2013 -2014, before I went away for 4 years.

I was unable to buy an item on finance a few months ago because of this also.

Is there any way around this?

Hi Michael and welcome to the forum

You do not need to know your 'credit score' as lenders don't use it and don't see it. What you need is to build a history in your credit file with the three Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs).

Have you tried accessing you statutory credit reports from the three CRAs?
Are you on the Electoral Register (ER) for your current address?
Have you got a contract mobile and utility bills at your current address?
