Actually, the main benefit of a wireless printer is the ability to work regardless of its location, as long as there is WiFi coverage. Mobile devices such as tables, phones and laptops can all print to wired printers. If you’re just going to be using a PC in future, a wired printer is a good solution if they are in the same location. Wired printers tend to be cheaper, and it’s one less thing to go wrong. People want wireless mainly if they have mobile devices, eg tablets or laptops.0 -
I’ve never got my ipad to print to my wired printer that’s connected to a windows computer. Not that I have tried very hard.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

By 'wired' I mean Ethernet, obviously if your printer is USB then it's more complicated (you need to share your printer from the computer it is connected to).I’ve never got my ipad to print to my wired printer that’s connected to a windows computer. Not that I have tried very hard.0 -
When I say that I haven’t tried v hard, I really mean that I haven’t tried at all. I wasn’t sure that iOS would work with a printer shared on a windows pc, but it’s worth a go. I’ll report back.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
