    Johnson's latest lie

    "Manifesto will unite the country"

Whereas the latest labour plan will definitely achieve harmony between the 3 million women receiving £58 Billion and everyone else having to pay for it...

In addition, the knock on effect will mean that these people to will ending up paying much towards it.
Like buying something cheap but end up paying more as it doesn't last as long.
    It's a false economy.

Then we can look forward to every over 65 man claiming 5 years worth of pension stating equality as the reason.

Frankly these 1950s women make me embarassed to be a woman. Playing the poor little me I am too stupid to read/listen to the news card. Yes SOME women may need some extra (pension credit type) help. But giving them pension when they can swig champagne in first class - I don't think so.

How can a manifesto full of lies unite remain and leave ?
He didn't know how many hospitals that are going to be built and doesn't know how many nurses are going to be recruited.
On top of not being able to count his children or use a mop.
Good job he's got the right wing media to tell people how good he is.

    Fixed that for you.

The fact that, despite his many, many faults, Boris is way ahead of Jeremy in the polls should tell you an awful lot about the quality of the current labour offering. A mainstream labour party with competent leadership would be able to walk all over the conservatives after all the problems they've had.

Indeed. Boris will be terrible, Brexit will be terrible, but nowhere near as bad as a Corbyn/McDonnell govt, even in minority. I really don't want to vote for Boris, but I will, as I live in a Con/Lab marginal where the LibDems are 100/1 to win.

Interesting that the Mirror's front page isn't splashed with the pensions bribe to the WASPE women. Maybe they already realise it's backfired?

    It's a hold-your-nose-and-vote election for sure.

Not the first I have heard of staunch remainers being more petrified of Corbyn than Brexit and the effect on their money, and will back the Conservatives.

Ditto. Yes, there are some women (and men) out there in genuine need, but I'm heartily sick of some of the 'reasons' some women are trotting as proof of their 'need' for their pensions from 60.

One was that their plans for a comfortable retirement with lots of holidays have now been ruined. Another one had planned to retire at 60 in order to do voluntary work, but now has to carry on working for herself. Yet another had planned to retire at 60 in order to give free childcare to her working son and daughter, yet gave no reason why said son and daughter shouldn't divvy up the equivalent of her pension between them, even though that would have probably been far less than normal childcare costs.

Which could surely be solved by keeping pension credit age to 60 for that cohort, but that doesn't look like a large lump sum I suppose.
