Bosch Extractor Hood skips setting

Hi, my ageing Bosch extractor hood (model DKE765PGB) will only operate if the built in light is also switched on and even then, speed '2' and the intensive 'P' speed settings don't work. If the light isn't on you can press the '+' button and it will show setting 1 on the LED display but nothing happens and if you go up to 2 it just resets....... I can hear the switches going on the PCB. Any suggestions before I splash out on a new PCB?
