We have a Vaillant ecotec pro 28 and over the past week the radiators have been turning on randomly from the boiler itself and not how we normaly turn them on from the thermosat timer in the hallway, the timer has been powered off since last winter so that cant be sending it instructions,
The radiator icon is flashing on the boiler and the radiators are piping hot.
Is there anyway to manually turn them off from the boiler directly?

Yes. If t has a digital panel go to central heating circuit temperature panel and reduce to the point the umbrella/sun shade comes on.
This sets the boiler to summer mode, disabling the heating circuit.0
