The company, which also took over the running of car parking at the Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals earlier this year, declined to talk about the outcome.
A spokesman said: “Because it is a legal case we cannot comment on the ruling.”
Unless theres further action pending against then its stuff and nonsense, however after reading it would appear that the newspaper has contacted the parking eye.

Shame this episode hasn't ( yet) hurt the principle/restaurant group/chiquitos unless there is a follow up coming.

Big companies/corporates should carry out due dillegence, and in the course of that they should become aware that these parking companies are completly unregulated and make up their own rules to suit themselves

Both so called ATA's are not regulatory authorities ( far from it) but private trade associations who set the rules for their members.
The purpose of a trade association is to look after its members ( the parking companies)

Both the BPA and the IPC are no more than lipstick on a pig
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

    From the newspaper article:
A triumphant Carolyn declared: “In 2018 around 52,000 motorists received a parking fine from ParkingEye. The vast majority of those people didn’t have the time or the inclination to contest them.
Well wide of the mark there. PE made over 1 million DVLA accesses for Registered Keeper data in that year (from memory).
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
