Civil Enforcement HELP

Hi all, I have read the Newbie section and cannot see a post similar to mine.

I received a fine for £100 for parking on a private road by Civil Enforcement Aug18. I paid on the day and it looks like there is a mistake in my reg number as its is missing one digit. I lost POPLA and have gone through the dept collector letters and am now on Final Letter before claim. I have requested the SAR from them, received it, it has all the letters I have wrote plus POPLAS response stating that I did not comply to the T's and C's and show a valid ticket.

Im sure I put in the correct reg - its highly possible that the machine could be faulty as the log shows other *** registrations that appear shorter than 7 digits. They will not reveal the reg that I am sure is mine and I have repeatedly asked this. Unsure what to do next ?

There is no hotel or supermarket I can complain too but the facts are I paid for parking on that day.

Please help - Do I respond to the SAR info they have given me.

    It is not a fine.

Somebody owns the land. It may be a property developer or an investment company. You could ask the council who pays the non-domestic council tax, or a for a definitive answer you could pay the Land Registry a few quid to find out.

If this was a minor typing error then a complaint should be made to the scammers and the BPA, quoting the relevant part of the BPA CoP that says that charges should not be issued where a motorist makes such a minor error.

Other than that you should follow the guide to court in post 2 of the NEWBIES written by bargepole that takes you from LBC to the court date.
This assumes you have received a real LBC not a debt crawler letter disguised as a LBC.

Yes, ask their DPOfficer for their justification in processing your data, given the BPA has instructed its members over a year ago, not to pursue 'minor keying errors' - as per the POPLA Annual Report 2018*.

Ask on what basis they are ignoring the BPA and processing what looks like single digit error/failure to record, that their machine has routinely caused, as shown in the log.

Tell them you are about to report them to the Information Commissioner for this.
