ISSUES With Used Car Coming up
Hey there folks.
I need an advice.
2 Months ago i bought car on HP finance, its Renault Megane 2012.
When been viewing the car everything seemd to be spotless without any major issues, driving smoothly, no knocks or weird behaviour of the car. Looked all around and underneath where possible without putting the car up. So i decided to have it as it had everything i needed in a car for a period of the HP.
After couple of weeks i started hearing the noise from left front side of the wheel, i though oh yea its probably the Fishbone suspension arm as i had the issue before and its quite common specially from the passenger side in cheaper cars. But then the noise started getting louder and also from the rear left side. Then i though oh that May be an bigger issue.
Well, i wasnt expecting this from Just Bought a car especially when my driving style is smooth, within the speed limits and i carefully drive over the bumps when happens.
Ive took some photos and went to my friendly mechanics to advice about the issue and he advised me to See the car dealer because its shouldnt happened in such short period, it must of been there before i Bought the car.
My question is, obviously Under the Customer Right Act 2015 i can expect the car dealer to deal with the issue but is Any chance for this happening?
Obviously the issue are the Fishbone, leak from the shock absorber and im guessing shock absorbers to be changed. All round as car doesnt have any stability right now.
My question is, because i dont think the car now meet the standards of usable car, if i can expect from the dealer to fix the issue on his cost as i wasnt aware of anything like this when buying the car?
Please if Anyone got Any expeirence with such things ill appreciate it Very much.
Ill be going to See the car dealer on monday morning to See if they can do anything about it.
Thank you,
Alex

It's far from obvious. You seem to have leapt from symptom to diagnosis without any investigation in between. You need to report the problem to the supplier and leave them to look into it.Obviously the issue are the Fishbone, leak from the shock absorber and im guessing shock absorbers to be changed. BTW isn't it a wishbone?0 -

Like i mentioned, ill be heading to the car dealer on monday as we have a weekend right now but before i would like to find out about my rights.
If it would be only wishbone i could totally fix on my cost like i was going to but when the rear left side noise came up I started thinking that something is not right here.
What can i expect from the car dealer to be obliged to?
Any advices really appreciated.

7yo car, wear in consumable suspension components starting to become apparent after a few weeks use... Nope, not a hope of getting anywhere unless the supplier agrees.0
