Electricity randomly tripping

Although it sounds like you have a modern consumer board (with trip switches not fuses) if it has been happening for 20+ yrs and you think it is connected the wiring must be getting on a bit (also rodents could have been at it, or the circuits could have been overloaded etc etc.)
Trip switches can be really sensitive -but personally I wouldn't risk it.
At most I think I would test your fridge - at around the time you seem to be getting most trips turn it off /unplug for a little while (30mins or so - just enough time for it to start warming up).

If it still trips -it isn't the fridge....

If it hasn't - turn it back on (and maybe turn it up/temp down) which would cause it 'work' - try and cool itself down. If that trips it more or less immediately you likely have your culprit.

If nec I would do it again plugged into a different socket and see it that makes a difference. (I would do it again at a different times to double check it wasn't just a coincidence). Do this as a matter of urgency...

(Years ago, there was a serious fire in my rented flat due to faulty wiring inside the wall. (Flat was gutted) Luckily I was out at the time and not asleep in bed or I don't think I could have got out. The fire brigade said it could have started any time and was likely smouldering in the wall undetected for hours (so when we were still home) before it broke out. )
