My 0% balance tranfer ended with Ulster Bank this month. However i managed to pay it all off but they recieved 3 days later. This costed me £24 interest. I rang them today to see if they can reduce the charge by half but no luck. How annoying.

A cautionary tale to anyone (including me) who has a 0% credit card that must be paid off by a certain date. Firstly, things like internet banking are not instant - yet. Use a diary, calendar, MS Outlook or this site's "Tart Alert" to ensure that the critical last payment is made in good time. Do not "take it to the wire" to try to get the last few days at 0% at the risk of getting charged interest for the lot.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
