I'm hoping someone can help and advise. one of our dogs suffered FCE (spinal stroke) at the beginning of this year. Our current insurance provider have been great paying out. We put our last claim in which was for hydrotherapy last month so won't be claiming any more on it. He isn’t receiving any medical treatment and was signed off from the vets back in April. The only thing we do take him to is hydrotherapy which we pay for and claimed only 15 sessions. However, I received the renewal quote today and yes I was expecting an increase but thought it would be £10-20 per month. Well, its increased by more than 100%!!! Unless I increase the excess and getting rid of the benefits which I don't want to really loose.
does a spinal stroke come under pre-existing conditions if I went elsewhere?
has anyone on here had experience with spinal strokes and did you stick with the original insurance provider or go elsewhere?
has anyone who's dog suffered FCE had complications from the condition further down the line as I read there is a slim chance of it occurring again.
