How was she able / your father able to override the mirror wills?

I thought they were legally binding - once one person dies the will cant be changed?

A common misunderstanding. Either are free to change their wills at any time. My aunt was incandescent when she was told that the mirror will my Grandmother had written decades before with my Grandfather had been superseded by a newer one which greatly disadvantaged her. She didn't attend her mother's funeral and hasn't spoken to anyone in our family since.

You're thinking of mutual wills - very rarely made these days.

Clearly, this has not been resolved after 3 posts about the same subject. I'm not sure what you're looking for from the members of this forum?

Your previous posts feel very bitter and I guess you need to seek legal advice, as you've been advised to do several times.

No-one knows your past history as a family but I feel that the want to pursue the money is great, potentially causing more issues within your family unit.

Maybe your sister felt that she was there 24/7, whereas you visited every month or so? It's not 50/50.

Have you discussed with a solicitor the possibility of putting a caveat on the will if it hasn,t already gone through probate to,prevent this happening on the grounds your father didn't have full mental capacity?
