Battery Operated Christmas tree lightshts

There seems to be an ever increasing selection of battery operated tree lights. I have done a google search asking how long batteries will last, but the answers vary widely. So armed with that useless information, I just wondered if anyone owns a set and could give some indication of how long I could expect batteries to last. The set I am looking at has 100 LED lights on them and takes 3 AAA batteries. Thank you even though I think I may have posted this on the wrong forum!

I can't answer your question other than say LED lights have low energy consumption but have you considered investing in rechargeable batteries. I picked up 4 rechargeable AAA today in Lidl for £2.99, obviously you need a charger but you can get one for around £10 in Amazon0

Thank you for your suggestion and probably the best solution. Due to the fact that you can go through batteries like a tornedo with the kid's toys etc., was the reason I would have preferred mains powered.0

I have some from Argos, perhaps 50 LEDs powered by two AA batts. With Kodak cheapo batteries, they were dim after 24 hours continuous use. Good batteries last perhaps 4x as long.0

They'd probably last through Christmas day, some of boxing day if you're lucky.
LED may be low consumption but that is a lot of lights for 3 little batteries to run.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
